I am a strong advocate towards leading my community in becoming a better place. I lived it, I stuggled to get through, I stumbled, I fell, I got back up and did it again. Now, I am a soon to be college graduate. But what does that mean, I'm still in the hood and want to make it out. This is just a stepping stone of an accomplishment being made, and many many more to come. My objective is to get out of the hood and come back to help make it become a productive place to live. I have good intentions and I am a strong believer of change. If I can do it, so can you.

Snitches get Stitches
Everybody knows there is no snitching in our community. "you don't know nothing" is what you tell the boys (aka the cops). If anybody snitch, be prepare to get stitched or a closed casket. Take a look at this.....
"Being Trendy"
Staying in style & keeping up with the trend so you can be the most talked about in the community, leads to hatrait, jealousy, & greed. This is another aspect of violence because the society is based on competition. Why hate on another brother or sister for making it? This is a open door opportunity to the next African American to succeed. Everybody in the hood and from the hood has the idea of living misconstrued, and needs a realty check.
Drugs & Thugs
Drug Distribution in our community is one of the leading causes towards death. Since we are in a recession, all of the young boys feel a need to be a street pharmacist to make it through. But, they need to ask themselves what good is this doing? Consequences & Repercussions for all actions is a terminal demand. Akbar Pray (who is still incarcerated)was a Kingpin in Newark,NJ and got away with selling kilos of cocaine & marijuana and made as much as 4.5 million annually. Do you how much of an impact this one man made on the entire city? view more about Akbar Pray at http://www.mafianj.com/afro/newark.shtml....

"Child Neglect"
Dealing with parents that has an addiction as a child, has an affect on your every day life. It suppresses your feelings and make you feel like you have know choice but to fin for your self. But, it's all about growth, you can take life's obstacles & become positive, or you can make it your problem and back slide. This is one of the reason alot of kids gang & slang. They have no guidance and have no choice but to learn from the streets. The question is, Are they willing to change there lifestyle?
"Gang & Slang"
"Gang and Slang" is a representation of a organization that dislike one another through color banging.. Red flags is for Bloods, blue flags is for Crips, and purple flags is for Grapes.
This activity has alot to do to with the violence in our community. Digging deep in within, to determine the real reason young people join gangs in today's society.
